If you store or work on your motorcycle in an Austin garage, you already know the heat is hard on your bike and on your body. A ductless mini split from Jester Climate can keep that space cool and dry, protecting your tires, seals, and battery tenders while making a Saturday wrenching session bearable.

Extreme heat in a closed garage degrades rubber tires and seals faster than normal, and the constant oven-like temps can shorten the life of your bike's electronics. A stable climate under 80 degrees helps everything last longer, from your chain lube to your trickle charger.

Crouching over a bike to adjust valves or swap a tire is miserable when the concrete floor reflects 120-degree air back at you. Our crew hangs the indoor unit high on the wall, so you get cool air across the whole bay instead of a single fan blowing hot dust in your face.

We install a flat-rate system for $2,400 including labor and materials, sized to your garage after an on-site visit. One day each week is the Joker Day at a lower price; check the homepage for that week's amount. A $400 deposit holds your install date, and the balance is due when the work is finished.

Common questions

What people ask us about this

Will a mini split keep the garage cool even if I open the door to roll the bike out?

It will cool the air quickly once the door is closed, but it can't fight a wide-open garage for long. Close the door after you roll the bike out, and the system will bring the temp back down within a few minutes.

How do you know what size unit my garage needs?

We give you a rough guideline over the phone, but we confirm the exact size during a free site visit. We measure your garage's square footage, ceiling height, insulation, and window placement so the unit isn't too small for hot days or too big and short-cycling.

Do you wire the unit to a separate circuit, or can I plug it into an existing outlet?

We install the system with its own dedicated circuit and a disconnect switch within sight of the unit. That keeps it safe from tripping your bike lift or compressor on the same breaker.

What does the flat rate cover?

The $2,400 flat rate covers all materials and labor for installing one mini split system (indoor and outdoor units, line set, wiring, and mounting). A $400 deposit holds your install date, and the rest is due when we finish. The Joker Day price changes each week, so check the homepage to see if it's available.

Can I run the mini split while I'm grinding or painting in the garage?

You can, but fine dust or overspray can clog the indoor filter and coil over time. We recommend turning the system off during heavy grinding or painting, then running it afterward to filter the air and bring the temperature back down.
