Musicians and bands

If your band rehearses in a garage or home studio, you know the heat from amps, drums, and bodies builds fast. Soundproofing foam and closed doors trap that heat, making long sessions uncomfortable for both you and your gear.

The flat rate

One number, materials and labor together

Standard day
$2,400
Materials and labor, installed. Six days a week sit at this rate.
Joker day
Lower, every week
One day a week costs less. It moves weekly, revealed on the homepage.

$400 materials deposit books your day. The balance is due when the work is finished and you're happy with it. Anything outside a standard install is quoted before work begins, never discovered after.

For this room

Musicians and bands

A ductless mini split from Jester Climate cools the room without needing to open the garage door or cut into walls. It mounts high on the wall and blows cool air directly where you need it, while the outdoor unit sits quietly outside. Your neighbors won't hear a thing, and your instruments stay at a steady temperature.

Our standard flat rate for installation is $2,400 for materials and labor together. One day each week we run a Joker Day at a lower price the exact amount is posted on our homepage. To book, you put down a $400 materials deposit, and the rest is due when the work is finished.

We size the unit using a rule of thumb based on your room's square footage and heat load from gear and people, then confirm it with an on-site visit. No guesswork, no promises over the phone. Our licensed crew handles the whole install so you can get back to rehearsing.

Common questions

What people ask us about this

Can a mini split really cool a room full of tube amps and a drum kit?

Yes, when the unit is sized properly for the heat load. We calculate based on your space and the gear you run, then confirm the right size during a site visit before installation.

Will the cooling help protect my instruments from temperature swings?

Stable temperature and humidity matter for guitars, keyboards, and other gear. A mini split keeps the room consistent, so your instruments stay in tune and your electronics avoid condensation damage.

How does your pricing work? Do I pay extra for a garage installation?

No extra fees. Our flat rate of $2,400 covers materials and labor for a standard install. One day per week is our Joker Day at a lower price (see the homepage for that week's amount). A $400 deposit holds your date, and you pay the balance after the job is done.

Do I need to open my garage door for the installation?

Not at all. The indoor unit mounts on a wall inside your garage or studio, and the outdoor unit goes outside. We work with the garage door closed so your neighbors don't hear a thing.

How do you know what size unit my practice space needs without seeing it first?

We start with a rule of thumb using your room's square footage and typical heat sources like amps and people. But we always confirm the final size with an on-site visit. That way you get a unit that handles the heat without being oversized or undersized.
