Scrapbookers and paper crafters

If your scrapbooking room doubles as a former guest bedroom, you probably already know the struggle of keeping the temperature steady in there. A mini split gives you full control over that one space, without relying on the house's main HVAC.

The flat rate

One number, materials and labor together

Standard day
$2,400
Materials and labor, installed. Six days a week sit at this rate.
Joker day
Lower, every week
One day a week costs less. It moves weekly, revealed on the homepage.

$400 materials deposit books your day. The balance is due when the work is finished and you're happy with it. Anything outside a standard install is quoted before work begins, never discovered after.

For this room

Heat and humidity do not do your supplies any favors. Adhesive sheets lose their tack. Cardstock warps. Photos and memorabilia that should last decades start to curl at the edges. A dedicated mini split keeps that room at a steady climate so your papers and keepsakes stay exactly how you want them.

Long crafting sessions are tough to enjoy when the room gets stuffy. A mini split whispers along in the background, so you can sit at your table for hours without the window unit's rumble or a floor fan blowing your loose papers everywhere. You set the temperature once and it just stays there.

The spare bedroom is often the last stop for the main ductwork, which means it never gets enough cooling or heating. Our crew installs the indoor head right on your wall, runs the line set to the outdoor unit, and handles all the wiring and refrigerant. Everything is one flat rate, materials and labor together.

A $400 materials deposit holds your install day. The rest of the flat rate is due when the work is finished and the system is running. One day each week is the Joker Day at a lower price, and the exact price for that day changes week to week.

Common questions

What people ask us about this

How do I know which size mini split to get for my craft room?

We use a rule of thumb based on your room's square footage and ceiling height, but the final sizing gets confirmed during a free on-site visit. We never promise a specific BTU number over the phone because things like window placement and insulation matter a lot.

Will the indoor unit interfere with my wall shelves or pegboard?

We install the indoor head on an exterior wall, typically high up near the ceiling. We work around your existing layout so your wall organizer, shelves, and storage stay exactly where you want them.

Is the Joker Day price always the same every week?

No, the Joker Day moves to a different day each week and comes with its own price. You can see that week's Joker price on the homepage. The deposit and flat rate setup still apply.

Do I need to pay the full amount upfront?

No. You only put down a $400 materials deposit to hold your install date. The rest of the flat rate is due when the crew finishes the job and the system is running.

Will this system really keep my photos and papers from warping?

A mini split holds a steady temperature and removes humidity from the air, so your stored photos, memorabilia, and acid-free papers stay in a much more consistent environment than a room served by a leaky central duct.
