On install day our crew arrives on schedule with everything needed. Your only job is to be there for a quick walkthrough at the end. The rest we handle from start to finish. Here is a step by step look at what actually happens.
Our crew pulls up in a marked van. We introduce ourselves and do a quick walkthrough of the space with you. We lay down floor protection and set up a clean work area. The indoor unit location and outdoor condenser location were decided at the site survey. We confirm those spots and start pulling tools and materials. No surprises. We also check that the electrical disconnect and any needed permits are in order. Permit requirements vary by city but we handle what is required.
With prep done the real work begins. We mount the indoor unit on the wall, carefully leveling it. Then we drill a small hole through the exterior wall for the lineset (the bundle of copper tubing and wiring). The hole is sealed tight afterward. Outside we set the condenser on a pad or brackets. We run the lineset from indoor to outdoor, making clean bends. Then we connect everything electrically, following all code. After that we pull a vacuum on the refrigerant lines to remove moisture and air. This step is critical for long system life. Once the vacuum holds we release the refrigerant and run the system in cooling and heating mode to verify everything works. The whole process typically takes a half day to a full day depending on the complexity of the home. We keep the work area tidy as we go.
When the system is running and stable we call you over. We show you how to use the remote control and any smart features. We walk through the settings, the fan speeds, the temperature adjustments. We make sure you understand how to switch between modes. Then we turn the system off and on again to demonstrate it is fully functional. Once you are satisfied we collect the remaining balance. We appreciate a clear path to the work areas, but we can move light furniture if needed. Heavy items should be moved ahead of time. We always lay down floor protection in high traffic zones. If you have questions about a specific room just ask when we schedule the install.
Yes. Our install includes a standard electrical connection up to 25 feet from the breaker panel. If your panel is farther or needs an upgrade we will discuss that during the site survey. Permits vary by city in Central Texas. We handle whatever is required for your location. You do not need to worry about the paperwork.
