The bid number

Standard single zone mini split installation is $2,400 on weekdays, materials and labor. Weekends are $2,600.

Non standard work is quoted before any work begins. One Joker Day each week is priced lower than the weekday rate. The day changes week to week and is revealed on the home page.

  • $2,400 weekday, materials and labor
  • $2,600 weekend
  • Joker Day under weekday rate, revealed on the home page
  • $400 materials deposit to book

Booking the date

You pick the date. It gets confirmed. If anything changes, you get told.

$400 materials deposit books the job. Balance is due on completion. Call (512) 297-7493 to put the date on the calendar.

Site walk before the crew is booked

Plans do not settle the install. Line set routing, circuit size, drain routing, penetration location, and equipment size are confirmed at the site walk.

A casita reads smaller than it loads. West glass and a hot attic push the size up. The size gets confirmed on site.

Walkthrough in front of your client

Your client sees the head, the condenser, and the penetration. Those get finished as part of the standard install.

If they have system questions, send them to (512) 297-7493. You stay on the build, not on explaining equipment.

Same line item on the next ADU

Each ADU, casita, and pool house needs a standalone system. Use the weekday or weekend number that matches the date. Call (512) 297-7493 to set up repeat scheduling.

Keep one phone number on the estimate. Jester Climate is the sub on that line. Round Rock ADU work uses that same number.

Round Rock, Austin, and the I-35 corridor

Service area is Austin and the I-35 corridor. Round Rock sits on that corridor.

Permit requirements vary by jurisdiction. Confirming that is on the owner or the general contractor. Jester Climate is not a permitting authority.

Leave this readySite condition checklist

Have these done before the install date and the day runs clean. Anything not on this list gets looked at during the site walk.

  • Indoor unit location marked
  • Outdoor unit location marked and clear
  • Path between indoor and outdoor locations passable
  • Electrical panel accessible
  • Site contact name and phone posted
  • Work area free of other trades' materials
Install dayPhase order, no clock times promised
  • ArrivalCrew checks in with the site contact. Marked indoor and outdoor locations get walked before tools come off the truck.
  • MountingIndoor head and outdoor unit get mounted at the locations confirmed at the site walk.
  • Rough connectionsLine set, drain, and electrical get run as confirmed at the site walk. Penetrations go at the confirmed location.
  • StartupSystem is started and run. Operation is checked at the indoor and outdoor units.
  • HandbackWork area is left ready for your walkthrough. Balance is due on completion.

Phases run in this order on a standard job. Site conditions change the pace, so nothing here is a timeline commitment. If something on site is different from the walk, you get told before it turns into cost.

How the money worksTwo payments, no surprises

$400 materials deposit books the date and buys the equipment for your job. Balance due on completion, on the visit the system runs.

$2,400 weekday. $2,600 Saturday or Sunday. One Joker day each week is priced under the weekday rate. The day moves week to week and it is shown on the home page, so if your schedule has slack you can aim at it.

Non standard work is quoted before any work begins. Nothing gets added to the number without you approving it first.

Questions builders ask
Can I put $2,400 in an ADU bid today?
Yes for a standard single zone on a weekday, materials and labor. Use $2,600 if the install falls on a weekend. If the site walk shows non standard work, that portion is quoted before any work begins.
What do I need to book?
Call (512) 297-7493. $400 materials deposit books the job. Balance is due on completion. Give the date that fits your other trades.
What if the panel is tight?
Circuit size is confirmed at the site walk. Electrical work the site walk flags as non standard is quoted before any work begins. Do not assume the $2,400 weekday number covers panel work beyond a standard single zone.
What makes a casita or pool house not standard?
Anything the site walk flags outside a single zone install. Extra zones, non standard electrical, non standard drain routing, extra penetrations, and access limits are quoted before work begins. The $2,400 weekday figure does not apply to that extra work.
I have more than one ADU in sequence. How do I schedule them?
Call (512) 297-7493 to set up repeat scheduling. Standard single zone stays $2,400 on weekdays and $2,600 on weekends. Non standard work is quoted before any work begins.
