Home bar and game room owners

Your home bar or game room likely wasn't designed to hold a crowd. If it's in a converted garage or a bonus room, it probably never got a proper vent, and that shows the moment friends gather around the pool table. We install ductless mini splits that handle the heat from a full house, so the room stays comfortable through long game nights.

The flat rate

One number, materials and labor together

Standard day
$2,400
Materials and labor, installed. Six days a week sit at this rate.
Joker day
Lower, every week
One day a week costs less. It moves weekly, revealed on the homepage.

$400 materials deposit books your day. The balance is due when the work is finished and you're happy with it. Anything outside a standard install is quoted before work begins, never discovered after.

For this room

Home bar and game room owners

A home bar that has to handle a full house is a different animal than a bedroom. The body heat from a dart league or a poker night builds up fast, and if your space used to be a garage, it likely never got a dedicated supply vent in the first place. That's why a ductless mini split, which mounts on the wall and feeds cool or warm air directly into the room, makes sense for this kind of space. It also keeps your drinks cold and your friends comfortable, so the game night can actually run long.

Our installation is a flat rate of $2,400 for materials and labor, and that covers the mini split unit, the line set, the wall mount, and the electrical connections. To book a day, we ask for a $400 materials deposit, and you pay the rest when the work is finished. One day each week is our Joker Day, where the price is lower than the standard rate. The Joker day moves week to week, so the exact price changes, and we always post it on our homepage.

We size every mini split using a rule of thumb based on the square footage, the ceiling height, and how much glass is in the room. That estimate gets confirmed by an on-site visit before we install, so we're not promising a specific BTU number over the phone. Our crew is licensed, and we work all along the I-35 corridor from our home base in Austin. If your game room is in a converted garage or a bonus room, we've dealt with the odd layout challenges that come with those spaces.

Common questions

What people ask us about this

I have a garage that's now a bar, but there's no ductwork in there. Will a mini split work?

Yes. A ductless mini split doesn't need ductwork. It mounts on the wall and connects to an outdoor unit with a small line set. That makes it a practical option for converted garages and bonus rooms.

What does the $2,400 flat rate really include?

It covers the mini split unit, all materials, and labor. That includes the wall mount, the line set, the electrical connections, and the installation itself. There are no surprise add ons.

How does the Joker Day pricing work?

One day every week is Joker Day, and on that day the price is lower than our standard $2,400 rate. The exact day and price change week to week, and we post them on the homepage. We don't advertise a specific Joker price here because it moves.

Can you tell me the right size unit for my game room before I book?

We use a rule of thumb to get a starting estimate, but we confirm the final sizing with an on-site visit. That visit lets us measure the room, check the ceiling height, and look at the windows. We won't promise a specific BTU number until we've seen the space.

What do you need to hold a booking day?

We ask for a $400 materials deposit to hold the date. The remaining balance is due when the installation is finished. That deposit goes toward the total price, so it's not an extra fee.
