What the electrician leaves ready

Leave a dedicated circuit. Leave a disconnect near the outdoor unit location. Leave whip and conduit so the outdoor unit can be terminated.

Circuit size, disconnect location, and conduit path are confirmed at the site walk. If that work is not done, it is non standard and gets quoted before any work begins.

  • Dedicated circuit landed at the outdoor location
  • Disconnect mounted near the outdoor unit
  • Whip and conduit ready for termination
  • Outdoor location clear of stored material
  • Indoor wall framed and location marked

The coordination call

Get the GC, the electrician, and the installer on one call. Cover indoor head location, outdoor unit location, and where the penetration wants to be. Cover who owns the circuit and who hangs the disconnect.

Use the call to flag a casita, west glass, a hot attic, or a room the existing system never reached. Equipment size still gets confirmed at the site walk.

  • Indoor head location
  • Outdoor unit location
  • Penetration alignment with whip and disconnect
  • Who owns circuit and disconnect
  • Electrician complete before the install date is picked

Penetration, head, and condenser

Do not cut the hole before the site walk. We mark the penetration so it lines up with the head, the line set path, and the disconnect. Framing and flashing stay with the remodel crew.

Indoor location and outdoor location are confirmed at the site walk. Drain routing is confirmed at the site walk. Line set length is confirmed at the site walk.

  • No pre-cut penetration
  • Head wall confirmed at the site walk
  • Condenser location confirmed at the site walk
  • Line set path confirmed at the site walk

The number for the bid

Standard single zone mini split installation is $2,400 on weekdays, materials and labor. It is $2,600 on weekends. One joker day each week is priced lower than the weekday rate.

Which day it lands on changes week to week and is revealed on the home page. $400 materials deposit to book. Balance due on completion. Non standard work is quoted before any work begins.

Added rooms and closed off spaces

A casita reads smaller than it loads. West glass and a hot attic push the size up. The size gets confirmed on site.

Use this for a room you are adding or a room the existing system never reached. It is one zone. It is not a replacement for the house system.

Date, walkthrough, next job

You pick the date. It gets confirmed. If anything changes you get told.

Keep this as one line item on the estimate. Call (512) 297-7493 to set up repeat scheduling.

How the money worksTwo payments, no surprises

$400 materials deposit books the date and buys the equipment for your job. Balance due on completion, on the visit the system runs.

$2,400 weekday. $2,600 Saturday or Sunday. One Joker day each week is priced under the weekday rate. The day moves week to week and it is shown on the home page, so if your schedule has slack you can aim at it.

Non standard work is quoted before any work begins. Nothing gets added to the number without you approving it first.
