The Number for Today's Bid

Standard single zone mini split install is $2,400 on weekdays, materials and labor. Weekend work is $2,600. That is the figure you can type into the estimate without a callback.

Leave HVAC as a quote and the bid waits. Use $2,400 or $2,600 and the bid goes out. Call (512) 297-7493 if the garage may not be a standard single zone.

  • $2,400 weekday, materials and labor
  • $2,600 weekend, materials and labor
  • $400 materials deposit to book
  • Balance due on completion
  • Non standard work quoted before work begins

What $2,400 Includes, What It Does Not

The weekday price is a standard single zone mini split install. Indoor unit, outdoor unit, line set, drain, penetration, electrical connection, and start sit in that scope. The list at the bottom of this page is the honest version. Anything off that list is not in the $2,400.

Circuit size, drain routing, line set path, penetration location, and equipment size are confirmed at the site walk. Do not guess those from a photo. If the walk finds non standard work, you get a quote before any work begins.

The Line Item Your Estimator Pastes

Use one line, not a cloud of allowances. Write this: single zone mini split, standard install, $2,400 weekday, $2,600 weekend. Put (512) 297-7493 next to Jester Climate in the vendor field.

The same line works on the next garage conversion estimate. Your client sees HVAC as a number, not a TBD. You do not look unfinished when they compare bids.

Deposit, Date, and Who You Call

A $400 materials deposit books the job. Balance is due on completion. Call (512) 297-7493. Service area is Austin and the I-35 corridor.

You pick the date. It gets confirmed. If anything changes, you get told. Call (512) 297-7493 to set up repeat scheduling.

Site Walk Before Extra Cost Starts

A garage office reads smaller than it loads. West glass and a hot attic push the size up. Sizing is a rule of thumb confirmed on site.

Show up to the walk with the indoor wall picked. Extras found on site wait for a quoted number. That is how you keep a surprise off the owner walkthrough.

Weekday, Weekend, and Joker Day

Weekday work is $2,400. Weekend work is $2,600. Pick the rate that matches the date you can actually give us.

One joker day each week is priced lower than the weekday rate. That day changes week to week. It is revealed on the home page. Do not bid the joker rate until you have checked that page.

Scope of workStandard single zone install

Leave this readySite condition checklist

Have these done before the install date and the day runs clean. Anything not on this list gets looked at during the site walk.

  • Indoor mount wall stripped and clear
  • Exterior condenser location clear of storage and debris
  • Panel accessible and power on
  • Truck path from curb to both walls open
  • Indoor location decided before the site walk
  • Site contact on site with keys
  • Other trades off the penetration wall
Install dayPhase order, no clock times promised
  • Walk the layoutIndoor wall, outdoor location, penetration, drain, and circuit are checked against the site walk. Non standard work that was not quoted does not start.
  • Set the indoorThe head is mounted on the confirmed wall. The penetration is made at the confirmed location.
  • Set the outdoorThe condenser is set at the confirmed location. The line set is run on the confirmed route.
  • Land drain and powerThe drain is run on the confirmed route. Electrical is connected as confirmed at the site walk.
  • Start and handoffThe system is started. Controls are walked with you so the owner walkthrough matches what you bid.

Phases run in this order on a standard job. Site conditions change the pace, so nothing here is a timeline commitment. If something on site is different from the walk, you get told before it turns into cost.

How the money worksTwo payments, no surprises

$400 materials deposit books the date and buys the equipment for your job. Balance due on completion, on the visit the system runs.

$2,400 weekday. $2,600 Saturday or Sunday. One Joker day each week is priced under the weekday rate. The day moves week to week and it is shown on the home page, so if your schedule has slack you can aim at it.

Non standard work is quoted before any work begins. Nothing gets added to the number without you approving it first.

Questions builders ask
Can I put $2,400 in a bid you have not walked yet?
Use $2,400 if the job is a standard single zone install on a weekday. Use $2,600 if it will run on a weekend. Call (512) 297-7493 if you are unsure which bucket it is in. If you already know it is not standard, call that number before you submit.
What knocks a garage conversion out of the flat number?
Extra zones, electrical beyond the unit connections, a condensate pump, interior chase, masonry penetrations, or moving a unit after it is set. Size and routing stay in the site walk. The standard single zone install stays at $2,400 weekdays or $2,600 weekends. Call (512) 297-7493 with the list of extras before you lock the owner price.
Do you pull the mechanical permit?
No. Jester Climate does not pull permits. Requirements vary by jurisdiction. Confirming the permit is on the owner or the general contractor.
How do I line this up with drywall?
Name the date you want when you call (512) 297-7493. Wait for confirmation before you publish the schedule to your client. Tell us if the hangers slip. Do not assume a date until it is confirmed.
What do I tell the owner about size?
Do not quote a size off a floor plan guess. A garage gym with west glass is not the same load as a shaded office. Call it a rule of thumb and say the size is confirmed on site. That keeps a size argument off the walkthrough.
