What the electrician leaves ready
Your electrician owns the homerun, the breaker, and the disconnect. We do not pull that work. Ready state is a dedicated circuit, a disconnect near the outdoor unit location, plus whip and conduit.
Circuit size, whip, and landing are confirmed at the site walk. If any of that is missing, it is non standard and is quoted before any work begins. Do not assume we will finish the electrician's scope.
- Dedicated circuit at the outdoor unit location
- Disconnect mounted near that location
- Whip and conduit left for the outdoor unit
- Penetration location agreed before the wall closes
- Panel labeled so the circuit can be found at startup
The coordination call
Get you, the electrician, and the installer on one call. Cover outdoor location, indoor wall, where the penetration wants to be, and who lands the last connection. That call happens before you pick a date.
Line set routing, drain routing, penetration location, and equipment size stay as confirmed at the site walk. You pick the date after the call. The date gets confirmed. If anything changes you get told.
Where the penetration wants to be
The penetration wants a short run from the indoor head wall to the outdoor unit. Do not guess the bay if the wall is still open. Mark it or leave it for the site walk.
A head over a tub, a packed corner, or the wrong elevation turns the run non standard. Drain routing is confirmed at the site walk. That work gets a quote before it starts.
The number in the bid
Standard single zone mini split installation is $2,400 on weekdays, materials and labor. It is $2,600 on weekends. One Joker Day each week is priced lower than the weekday rate.
Which day it lands on changes week to week and is revealed on the home page. $400 materials deposit to book. Balance due on completion. Service area is Austin and the I-35 corridor.
- $2,400 weekday, materials and labor
- $2,600 weekend, materials and labor
- Joker Day listed on the home page
- $400 materials deposit to book
What the site walk confirms
A casita reads smaller than it loads. West glass and a hot attic push the size up. The size gets confirmed on site. Treat sizing as a rule of thumb until that walk.
Circuit, disconnect, whip, conduit, drain routing, penetration location, and equipment size are confirmed at the site walk. Off standard items get priced up front. You do not want a surprise sitting on the punch list.

Running the same install across more than one project? Call (512) 297-7493 to set up repeat scheduling.
- Who runs the dedicated circuit and the disconnect?
- Your electrician. Jester Climate does not pull the homerun or mount the disconnect. We terminate at the whip and disconnect left ready. Circuit details are confirmed at the site walk.
- Can my electrician get on the call or do you only talk to me?
- The electrician should be on it. Location, penetration, disconnect, and who lands the whip are electrical questions. You stay on the call so the bid line and the date stay in your book.
- What if the circuit is dead or the disconnect is missing when the crew arrives?
- Work does not start. The gap is quoted first. Call (512) 297-7493 to pick another date and get it confirmed.
- Is $2,400 the number I can plug into every single zone bid?
- On weekdays, for a standard single zone mini split installation, materials and labor, yes. Weekends are $2,600. Joker Day pricing is on the home page. If the run, the drain, or the electrical ready state is off standard, you get a quote first.
- Do you handle the permit?
- No. Jester Climate is not a permitting authority. Requirements vary by jurisdiction. Confirming that is on the owner or the general contractor.
