What $2,400 buys on a weekday
Standard single zone mini split installation is $2,400 on weekdays, materials and labor. The same scope on a weekend is $2,600. One JOKER DAY each week is priced lower than the weekday rate. That day changes week to week and is posted on the home page.
A $400 materials deposit books the work. Call (512) 297-7493. Check the home page for the current JOKER DAY. Materials and labor are both inside the number.
Site walk before tools come out
Line set length, circuit size, drain routing, penetration location and equipment size are confirmed at the site walk. Sizing is a rule of thumb confirmed on site. Plan takeoffs do not lock equipment size. The walk does.
If the walk shows work outside standard scope, that work is quoted before any work begins. The $2,400 weekday line item does not absorb the extra. Accept the quote first. Then the extra can be scheduled.
- Line set path and fittings
- Circuit condition and routing
- Drain routing and termination
- Penetration location and wall type
- Equipment size, confirmed on site
Permits and inspections
Jester Climate does not pull permits. Requirements vary by jurisdiction. Confirming permits is on the owner or the general contractor. We are not a permitting authority.
Your inspector, your permit. If the inspector wants the installer present, pick that date and get it confirmed. If that date moves, you get told. Do not assume Jester Climate is the permit holder.
What sits outside the $2,400 number
Extra heads and extra outdoor units are outside the standard single zone install. Concealment, chase, and soffit work are outside it. A condensate pump is outside it. Electrical work beyond tying into an existing adequate circuit is outside it.
All of that is quoted before any work begins. Do not leave a contingency in your bid and hope it covers the gap. Call (512) 297-7493 with the address and get the extra quoted. Do not treat a handshake as a notice to proceed on extras.
How the date actually works
You pick the date. It gets confirmed. If anything changes you get told. Write the confirmed date into the subcontract, not a guess.
The $400 materials deposit books the date. Weekend dates use the $2,600 number. Weekday dates use the $2,400 number. Balance is due on completion.
Subcontract exhibit
Paste the line item into the estimate. Attach this page as Exhibit A for scope. Keep change order language limited to items quoted before work begins. Jester Climate is the subcontractor named on the line.

- Start up and handoffSystem is started in front of the site contact. The GC walks the indoor and outdoor locations before the crew leaves.
Phases run in this order on a standard job. Site conditions change the pace, so nothing here is a timeline commitment. If something on site is different from the walk, you get told before it turns into cost.
$400 materials deposit books the date and buys the equipment for your job. Balance due on completion, on the visit the system runs.
$2,400 weekday. $2,600 Saturday or Sunday. One Joker day each week is priced under the weekday rate. The day moves week to week and it is shown on the home page, so if your schedule has slack you can aim at it.
Non standard work is quoted before any work begins. Nothing gets added to the number without you approving it first.

- Can I bid $2,400 as a single line item today?
- Yes for a weekday standard single zone mini split, materials and labor. Use $2,600 if you need a weekend date. Non standard items sit on a separate quote issued before work begins.
- Who pulls the permit?
- Permit responsibility sits with the owner or the general contractor. Jester Climate is not a permitting authority. Check the jurisdiction before you publish the bid. Inspections stay on your permit.
- What if the existing circuit is not enough?
- Circuit size is confirmed at the site walk. Tying into an existing adequate circuit is inside the standard install. Work beyond that is quoted before any work begins.
- Can you land the day drywall pulls off?
- Call (512) 297-7493 and pick the date that fits the drywall pull off. A $400 materials deposit books it. Changes are not silent; you get told.
- How do you size a casita or a room with west glass?
- A casita reads smaller than it loads. West glass and a hot attic push the size up. The size gets confirmed on site.
